The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested 26 railway officers, together with a senior divisional electrical engineer (DEE) of East Central Railway, on costs of leaking papers forward of a departmental examination scheduled for Tuesday. Throughout its raids, the CBI seized ₹1.17 crore money.
East Central Railway had scheduled a Departmental Examination on March 4 for the posts of Chief Loco Inspectors. Throughout the checks carried out by CBI groups at three spots on the intervening night time at Mughal Sarai, which is now often called Deen Dayal Upadhyay Nagar, 17 candidates had been discovered with photocopies of hand-written query papers.
