On this week’s podcast episode, I sit down with engineer, mixer, and podcaster Matt Boudreau.
Matt’s musical journey started within the late ’80s as a band member and drummer, ultimately transitioning into the world of audio recording in 1994. Since then, he’s developed experience in Stereo and Dolby Atmos mixing, with credit together with Alanis Morissette, Dying Cab For Cutie, and Inexperienced Day amongst others.
Matt can also be the founder and host of Working Class Audio, a podcast with 20,000 month-to-month listeners, and over 530 episodes.
In the course of the interview we spoke in regards to the evolution of immersive audio, his revolutionary method to mixing in Atmos, his insights after 500+ podcasts, encouraging authenticity in music manufacturing, and way more.
I spoke with Matt from his studio within the Bay Space.
